Who is it for?

Martial arts is perfect for anyone who fancies getting active and learning a new skill – you don’t need any fancy kit, just clothes you feel comfortable exercising in and a bottle of water!

What is it?

Martial arts are traditional combat practices. You’ll give your whole body a workout and all your muscle groups will get some attention, plus you'll learn the basics of self defence. If you don't like the gym and want to try something completely different, there's nothing to lose!

What does it look like?

The stretching exercises will give you flexibility, the techniques will strengthen your muscles and body, as well as giving you a good cardiovascular workout. Martial arts are practiced for a variety of reasons: self-defence, competition, health and fitness, as well as mental, physical, and spiritual development.
