Nordic walking is a full-body exercise that's easy on the joints and suitable for all ages and fitness levels. It’s perfect for anyone who wants to take walking to the next level. Just wear clothes you feel comfortable walking in, suitable footwear and bring a bottle of water!

What is it?

Nordic walking was originally a summer training regime for cross-country skiers. It's based on using specially designed walking poles in a way that harnesses the power of the upper body to propel you forward as you walk. Using the poles takes the weight off your knees and lower body joints – making you feel lighter on your feet!

What does it look like?

Nordic Walking is based on using specially-designed walking poles (provided by the walk leader) to propel you forward as you walk. In a small group, you’ll get to enjoy the fresh air, explore local parks, meet new friends, and transform your walk into a full body workout!
